Departure day is coming soon

Exactly two weeks from tomorrow (Lord willing) I will be on a plane headed for North Carolina to begin the first part of my training with the African Children's Choir. The reality of what is coming got a little more real when I received a plane ticket in the mail this week that is for Uganda. Is this really happening? Am I really going to Africa? Yes! On Aug 11th I will embark on this new adventure as head teacher for the African Children's Choir. To see if we will be in your area keep checking our tour schedule at www.africanchildrenschoir.com. I am on choir 32 traveling in the midwest and the southern United States, beginning September 21st. As I prepare to leave I have much on my mind and would appreciate your prayers, for they are powerful and do not return void. Pray for peace of mind, quality time with my family, all the little details that must be worked out, and especially for God's provision in the area of finances. Since this is a volunteer position I am raising a support team to pray for me and contribute to the education of these African children by supporting me financially. I still need around $7000. I serve a BIG God who owns every cent in the universe and I trust he will provide. Stay tuned to hear more stories of God's faithfulness and the adventures he has in store...

Glad I stumbled upon you here...
Welcome to the party.

We're looking forward to having you at the base.

My biggest piece of advice before you get started...

When I look back on the time before I hit the road, and I think about the things I was worried about, I can't help but laugh at myself. Just doooon't worry. It'll all happen really naturally and you'll feel at home in a matter of days.
