Prayer Request

I received a call today from my brother who lives in Southern California. Last night a fire swept through the campus of Westmont College, where he goes to school. 9 buildings were burned up as well as 15 faculty homes, leaving many homeless and devastated. Despite the devastation, Toby said they are praising the Lord that the main buildings of the school survived and nobody was killed or seriously injured. Would you please take a few minutes to pray for the families and students who lost so much today. Please pray also for my brother and those who are working hard to clean up the mess and take care of the homeless.

Angela, Today was the first day back since the fire, for all the students. They had a great time of praising God for his mercy and grace. They stood in a big circle around the little prayer chapel that didn't burn, despite trees on fire on three of four sides of it. John had seen it that night -- the huge flames coming from that direction and assumed it was gone. Finding it still intact was a wonderful surprise for us all. A great gift from God!

Thank you to all who prayed for those who lost their homes and for the leadership of Westmont as they made decisions. We all appreciate your prayers so much. It has been good to see how God has been meeting needs in various ways. He is good!

Hugs!

Jeanne
